Zymbryta. Tysabri

Zymbryta. Tysabri

Unfortunately, my MRI showed new plaques. My doctor is talking about a new treatment. I am currently taking the three times a week Copaxone. But my white count is also really low. He wants me to get a second opinion from a more MS specialist, but mentioned tysabri and zymbryta.
Is anyone on zymbryta?

Assume you mean Zinbryta

This medication was recently approved the U.S. FDA back in May 2016. Some neuros don't often rush to recommend a new MS disease modifying drug when newly introduced. Rather they prefer to wait for more actual use data. Liken that approach similar to the fact the I never purchase a new model car the year it's introduce. Instead I wait a year or so to have the bugs worked out so to speak.

Here's the links for both. Suggest you begin you read through as you need to be your own best advocate in the process and formulate your questions for the Doctors before you make a final decision

My Neurologist recommended Tysabri for me as well and I am also taking Copaxone I have been in the hospital 3 times since I've been on Copaxone but they said my white blood cells were fine. They gave my 6 IV Steriods I have been fine ever since I'm even walking without my walker.
