Hi. Does Anyone Else Suffer Regular/constant Headaches And Thinks This Is Due To MS Or MS Meds?

Hi. Does Anyone Else Suffer Regular/constant Headaches And Thinks This Is Due To MS Or MS Meds?

Ive had severe headache constantly for over a month and pain killers do not get rid completely. Im sure this is to do with my MS but its hard to prove and neuro doesnt like to admit it, so having to go through ruling out lots of other things...may never know i guess! Look forward to hearing your thoughts x

I have had headaches almost daily for the past 1-2 months. Not sure if its from my MS treatment Tysabri (on for past 12 months though). I wonder if its an MS thing too.

@A MyMSTeam Member Headaches are not a common symptom of MS itself, though there are some reports that suggest that people with MS have an increased incidence of certain types of headaches.. Have you reviewed the side effects of all your medications as that should be the first thing to rule out. Are you taking Baclofen for MS Spasticty as headaches is side effect ofthat medication. If all meds have been ruled as the possible cause than because MS is not an exact science the Doctor has to go through the process of elllimination.

I also get killer headaches weekly...change in pressure does not help. I've been on Gilanya for years...so I believe it is an MS thang unfortunately. Tylenol is my best friend many days!

Thanks for your responses @A MyMSTeam Member and @A MyMSTeam Member Im gonna keep on with the current investigations and hopefully find what is causing this, im having some accupuncture soon so that may help (it has helped my headaches in the past) and if it works for me again if defo recommend it to other headache sufferers. If that doesnt do it for me and the doc runs out of things to try i will be on to the neuro..i still believe in some way these headaches are ms related, be it from the meds or ms itself.
Hope your head feels better soon @A MyMSTeam Member x
