Copaxone Alternatives?

Copaxone Alternatives?

Wondering what else is available, taking 3 injections a week.

I started Copaxone back in 1996 (loved it). I was on daily shots until 2013 when it apparently stopped working. I was on Tysabri Infusions once a month for 4 years (loved it), but my JC Virus got too high to continue it safely. Now on Ocrevus every six months, and also loving it. If you're not feeling like what you're doing now is benefiting you, or that "the cure is worse than the illness," you definitely need to talk to your doc. There are plenty of drugs you can try until you find the right fit. Best of luck! Also, stay positive like Rubinba7 says. There is so much more that can help us now than when I was dx'd in 1988. I thought I was a goner! It turned from the monster it was, into a manageable illness.

I started on Betaseron. I handled the every other day sub cutaneous shots with no problems. I also tried Avonex and Copaxone. Neither one for any length of time. I am now on Ocrevus. Had my first full dose, and have not had any issues with the treatment.

Hope you are taking the one manufactured by Teva. Your drug has the least side effects for your organs your body. Stick with it! Other than local reactions uou will be fine. The sooner you are diagnosed and the sooner you are on copaxone that that that drug works on the body! I take the 20 mg and for 37 years. So don't dwell on negativity be positive be active. Stay healthy!

why are you taking so many different drugs for short periods of time the right way to do it is to spend a couple of years on the truck not unless you have adverse reactions and if a drug is working for you then why change.
