Is Their Anyone That Lives In Or Has Lived In Bethel, Alaska?

Is Their Anyone That Lives In Or Has Lived In Bethel, Alaska?

I was diagnosed three years ago, and have been on Copaxone, and have had very few symptoms since. I have a dream job opportunity in Bethel, but I am concerned with the ability to get my Copaxone, and traveling to Anchorage for annual appointments, and handling a relapse. Does anyone have any insight?

I would also ask for an oral prescription of 500 or 1000 mg prednisone just in case you have a relapse/attack. You can take it orally. I would rather have that prescription at home if I wasn’t sure if my local pharmacy would carry it or not. Perhaps call & ask them?

Ms is an awful disease. However if they have a local hospital, you should be fine. That said, I would be more concerned about moving away from your support network.

Look, MS is a bitch but not a reason not to take your dream job. Ask your current neuro about your ability to receive mail order Copaxone. I had that for a time. They send it cold but in a way that it will be that way for some time. The issue is that you will need a refill on your prescription but I guarantee you aren't the first to face this issue. You can and should do this! @A MyMSTeam Member's suggestion is a good one to find out what may be near where you're going

In the upper right corner of the screen are 3 gray lines, press that and go to meet others to find those in or near Bethel.
