Considering AMPYRA. Does Anyone Have Any Positive Or Negative Experiences To Share About This Medication? Need Help Deciding What To Do.
I am on this medication, have been for just over a year. Before I started my walking speed was tested, it took me 36 seconds to walk 25 feet and then 48 seconds to walk that 25 feet back. A month after I began taking I had the same test, my went to 22 seconds and 24 seconds back. I am still walking faster, on good days, then I did prior to the Ampyra. I have not had any side effects. I also noticed in the first month my bladder control was getting much better, went from 4 trip to the bathroom at night to 1. Doctor said it could very well be because of the med. Hope this helps.
i have been on it for about 3 years and it helps me a lot. i had to stop taking it when i was sick and oh yeah i noticed a big difference. i do walk faster and have to be careful i don't go to fast lol. you can try it and if it does not help than you know
Go for it if you have any walking problems at all. I've benn on it since it came out and without it I probably be in a chair with wheels. They do have a patient assistance program and its well worth it. It's been great for me.
I took it for about 6 months and had no positive or negative results.
I don't know what my speeds were but it definitely helped my speed. I've been taking about 5 months. My insurance covers all my meds and this one is about $1000 per month. There is approval process but its not bad.
I'm Considering Trying Ampyra To Aid Walking. If You Have Any Experience With This Medication That May Help Me Decide, Please Share. Thanks!
