Anyone Take Amantadine?
I'm considering asking my neuro if I can start this drug. The fatigue is getting to be a big problem for me, and it does seem like I catch every cold/virus under the sun or within a 20 mile radius of me. Amantadine is an anti-viral, right? And helps with fatigue? Will the anti-viral part keep me from catching extraneous viruses which could make my MS symptoms worse anyway, or is that just wishful thinking? LOL Any insight anyone can give me on this would be great! Thanks :)
I have been taking Amantadine for several years now and I haven't had a cold or flu since I started it. It works great! As for energy it helps me a little but not that much. I usually have a 5 hour energy drink to get me to start moving, It also helps with brain fog. You can get the 5 hour energy without caffeine.
You take both Amantadine and Nuvigal? I'll have to check with my neuro to see if he can do that for me. I only take Amantadine and I can tell when I've missed a does but I still feel fatigued.
The nuvigil worked for a few months and then back to tired. But when I paired the two together- that works, for now any way!
I started Amantadine about 5 years ago and I haven't had a cold or flu since. As far as helping with energy it does work most days but sometimes I need something more so I take energy drinks or caffeine pills, just one caffeine pill on the days I need it.
I have never taken acid, but that's how I'd describe amantadine. It felt like there were three of me and I had to keep us all together. Never again!
This Is For Those Taking Amantadine. 100 Mg Am And Pm I'm Not Asking About Provigil Or Modafinil. I'm Only Asking About Amantadine
Can Anyone Give Me Pros Or Cons On "AMANTADINE 100 MG CAP" For The Relentless Fatigue?
