Does anyone out there take Rebif? If so does it hurt every time you inject? I have tried everything to make its pain free, or at least tolerable and nothing helps. It is to the point I don't want otaku my medicine ever again. :(

I switched to Rebif 5 years ago. I have not had a relapse since. For Me, the pain of a shot three times a week is worth it. I have considered the once-daily oral drugs that are out now. For me I'm afraid to change anything in my routine while I'm "relapse free"

Make sure it is room temperature. If it is cold at all it will hurt more. If you use the injector, hold it against your skin with one hand and push the button with the other helps take some of that sting. Deborah is right there is always a little amount of pain. Sucks! Hope it helps.

I’ve been on Rebif for 17 monthes and only have had one relapse. I have found that the injections are painful but noticed that if my husband did not release the pinch when he helps me inject that helps with the stinging. Sometimes it still does sting anyway but it’s a small price to pay for how well it works to slow down reoccurring MS relapses. The MSLifelines nurse suggested to always keeping the injection areas moisturized, if stop doing this at all I notice a difference. And like others (using warmth) taking a warm shower (but not too hot) helped to relax the muscle beforehand. When I first started I had severe needle anxiety but over time I saw how the Rebif helped and it kept me going. Good luck. 

I have been using rebif for a while and every once in a while it doesn't burn going in but that is rare. I tolerate the short burn since I have been pretty much symptom free.

Have been on only REBIF since diagnosed in 2002 ! Doc will not change me to oral meds because he says, why fix something that ain't broke ! Well, he doesn't have to shoot himself three times a week ! Lol. Sometimes, it really hurts other times, don't even feel it ! I don't like the auto inject , seems it made it hurt ! Maybe just the noise of it made me flinch ! Anyway, I guess I will continue, till told otherwise ! Do have relapses, but I still walk on my own , etc ! For that I am grateful !
