Follow the golden rule just means think before you speak and be nice to others as you would have them be nice to you.

I follow2 basic rules on this site:
The Golden Rule: "Do unto ithers as you would have them do unto you "
And
FDR: "Speak softly and carry a big stick β€” you will go far."
