Hey all, I'm currently in a relapse and it hasn't been quite a yr since my diagnosis. I am worried that if my symptoms do not go away this time around, then i do not have RR. Has anyone had a flare-up so soon after and if so how are you now???

Everyone is different. Sure, I had a relapse less than a year after being dx'd, but it took three years for the symptom to go away completely. For others it can go away much faster. I was'nt told it has progressed to another level until recently. It seems that it depends on how fast symptoms stay and add up over time. I've had MS for 20+ years, not dx'd with RRMS until 2006, told that I've progressed to Secondary-progressive in 2013. I hope this helps.

I experienced flare ups within the same year I was diagnosed. Mainly numbness & imbalance. It has need almost ten years since I was DX'd. My Neuro says my new symptoms & MRI Scans show progression. Yet, I try to stay positive & live my life the best way I can! Stay Positive & Keep Smiling!!! =))))

Yes, I have had several, but doing better now. :) Hang in there. For me it had been a huge learning curve...learning to handle ms in my life and managing everything else.
