Can your symptoms get worse but not get any new lesions

I've had ms since 2010 not sure what type of ms I have for sure but it seems as if my symptoms have gotten to be more and worse I'm scared if I get an MRI no new lesions yet when diagnosed spinal fluid full of ms I'm so confused and unsure about ms

My do at the Swedish neuroscience Institute said that symptoms relief or exacerbation doesn't mean new lesions or healed ones. When I told him that my symptoms are better on the shots, hesaid that he wasn't sure why but that the shots arefor the lesions, not ssymptoms.

I read that it is possible to not get any new ones but feel worse and that some people can have just one lesion and have more problems than others with many because of where it is located and that no 2 patients are the same...
