- My doctor just titrated me off of celexa which I was on for 15+ years. She wants to put me on Cymbalta for my depression. I have been hesitant to start it because of interactions it has with some of my other meds. I also like that I'm taking one less pill. I've been good so far without the celexa.

I'm a little concerned about the possible depression side effect from Avonex. I've been on it over a year and I haven't had any issues with any of the other side effects.

I have them too. I was told that the ms is making it worse physically because of the lesions but also have always been prone to anxiety and depression. My ms specialist made it clear that I must get it under control to try and deal with the diagnosis and the uncertainty of the disease. I am on klonipan for anxiety and cymbalta for depression and I FREAKIN love them both. No crying everyday, have a better handle on taking control of MY life and this will help get through the rough times. 50 percent of MS patients have anxiety, depression or mood disorders and it is finally recognized as a major symptom . I hope you have a great ms doctor . If not i know USF doctors here in Florida can do consults if you are accepted into their ms clinic program. They rock. Good luck and If i can help please let me know,

Hi. I'm new to this site and this way of communicating also.

I was dx with ms in 1995 after I had my son. It's been an event packed 20 years to say the least.

I noticed your title about anxiety panic attacks. I get them too but have learned to offset them before they get out of control.
