You are so right! small bites and sips. I forgot, that's what I do. Wow I forget sometimes how I've adjusted my life that it has become second hand.

I did have a problem swallowing before I was Diagnosed..I ended up with anxiety meds. Now I know it was MS..I tend to choke when I drink water and eating apples especially. It seems the fluid gets ahead of my swallow reflex. Roxann is correct in taking sips and small bites. When My throat doesn't want to swallow it is helpful to try dropping your chin down toward your chest for a couple of seconds and that seems to help.

At work, I nearly drowned myself attempting to drink water. It can happen. Best thing is to take slow small sips and small bites of food.
