Has anyone noticed a spike in their blood pressure since getting ms?
My blood pressure was too, very low my entire life. Now it sporadically spikes. I can't tell unless I am at the Dr. And they take it. I get no symptoms.
Spinal cord lesions can lead to autonomic dysflexia a potentially serious condition requiring intervention. Lots of info on the net for you.
One thing to bare in mind is that stress can raise blood pressure. And MS at times can be VERY stressful. So yes I am sure there is a link. One thing you may talk to your doctor about is ways to reduce/manage your stress level.
my blood pressure has gone up considerably in the last few years,it has been as high as 180/90. Scared the nurse half to death! It is very erratic, when I see my PC it is always normal, my other doctors it is always high,
I always had low blood pressure (90/60), sometimes it was so low my doctor would joke about me being alive.....
The past few years it has gotten higher and higher, at my Neuro the other day it was 130/90, which is really high for me considering my norm was always 90/60 or less!
