When I first started to drink when I was 18, I kind of felt pain here and there. When I turned 21 in college, I started to go out and have fun I didn't feel any pain. Now when I feel some type of pain or tingling and I drink the pain goes away.
I feel normal again
It's kind of wierd, but it seems like alcohol effects me quicker than before MS. I seem to get a buzzed feeling after only a drink or two.
I used to drink quite a lot, socially. But since the earliest of my MS symptoms, I can barely drink a single beer or one glass of wine. Some mixed drinks go down easier, but can't drink more than two. It seems that any alcohol drives my thermo-regulator nuts. I start sweating profusely and feeling generally crummy. Twice, since MS got hold of me, I pushed on and drank enough to wake up the next day with a hangover. It felt like my worst exacerbation on top of a normal hangover. I will never make that mistake again.
I actually feel better, it take the edge off the nerve pain I suffer from daily.
MS balance and alcohol balance do not make a good combination. Just sayin.
