A MyMSTeam Member asked a question 💭

Since Ive been diagnosed my sex drive has decreased. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, what did you do to fix that?

Well, depends how new the diagnosis has been-that alone combined with denial can kill the libidos ....once past those have open communication with your beau & go to a sex shop that knows their toys well....there are some amazing toys & if your beau is into Understanding that his job is to really to get u to sing many times (verses my X-wam-bam, thank you mam) before him you'll have a GREAT time-She Comes First is a great book written by a sex therapist that I'd recommend to EVERY man who desires to please his woman....read all your drugs to c if it's a noted side effect of the drug-if it is...consider asking your DR to prescribe another drug but without THAT side effect...good luck-I'm a 50 year old woman in the throws of Menapause but have NO issues enjoying love making with my Beau who could write a book about pleasing your woman FIRST....good luck!

This has been a big problem for me also. Not only low sex drive but numbness in the vaginal area. I've talked with my neurologist but he didn't really have any treatment. He did make me an appointment with a urologist who had helped some of his patients. When I looked her up online the patients had only negative comments about her attitude and rudeness so I canceled that appointment. It's really been a problem for my husband.

MS has diminished a LOT of sexual pleasures for me. Just yesterday I read an article speaking of the ""new"" push for drug companies to address sexual dysfunction in WOMEN. Hopefully this means that we will be seeing some advances in ways to help us recover some sexual enjoyments.

My sex drive hasn't really decreased, but I lost feeling in my genital area, for 2 months 3 months after I was dx (1998) was not fun. Sex drive revving on high and no way to find relief.
