@A MyMSTeam Member CoolLioness is right on the spot! When you are answering your questions you have to think about you WORSE day scenario, not what you can do an a GOOD day. Your attorney will advice you of that. It won't matter how you are feeling that particular day but how you feel and what you can do overall. Just like Cool said about hugging her kids and being in tears. There were tears shed with me too. I was an RN and I loved my work I miss that the most, but I have come to the realization a long time ago that no patient would be safe in my care, not anymore. Going before a judge makes it feel more final and real than just a piece of paper that you read coming from some total stranger that you never see or meet. Someone that just judges you from ink on paper. If and when the day comes for you to go before a judge make sure you use your cane/walker if you use them, wear your braces/splints if you use them, whatever your doctor has prescribed you to use or wear make sure you have them. That was something my attorney told me to remember to do. They will guide you completely through the entire process just listen closely and follow their lead. Don't be afraid to TALK to the judge, be respectful for their position but talk to them and let them know exactly who YOU are that is the most important part of your case.

I used Binder and Binder and was awarded - after 3 no's. I went almost a year without any money. As if having a MS diagnosis wasn't bad enough. If I were you, I would apply for it and use a reputable disability law firm. No one likes to be disabled but add being broke to that - sucks!

Hi- I just was awarded SSDI with the help of Allsup. I applied March 2015, was denied twice, went to the hearing in front of ADJ, balled my eyes out, could barley speak loud enough for the judge to hear me. I was so nervous I though I would barf then pass out... the judge decided and I was awarded on the spot. Just waiting for the final letter and for payments to start. The process was cruel and took over 2 1/2 years. Don’t give up, go to your doctors, follow all recommendations they give you, make an effort to make positive changes. Show you are trying to get better and are active in your healing and not just sitting around waiting. I was awarded 2 years back pay... I am very grateful.
