I know this is a hard question. But I was wanting know that after you were diagnosed how soon before you noticed walking issues? I was diagnosed October 3 of this year and I already notice that my legs are becoming very weak. And very shaky. Note numbness or tingling yet tho.

@A MyMSTeam Member I'm sorry to hear that. And I know everyone is different. This is just so new and I have ALL these questions.... Gail, my walking is fine. Or at-least I think it is. I have a two story house and going up my stairs is okay. It's the coming back down that I have noticed my legs are pretty shaky.

My last flare was ON so I know how you feel. My legs are bad from time to time...but not always. Weak and shaky but it goes away. I do have horrible balance though and that has never gone away so I kina look like Ive been drinking. I always go right to the shopping carts in the store just to help me walk. Hopefully yours will get better too.

Nicole. Talk to your neuro about Ampyra. I haven't seen anyone else mention it in this thread. It is a pill, 2 times a day, and has been a God send for me and many others here with walking problems. There is also quite a bit of info here if you just type Ampyra into the q+a section.

I actually have days my legs seem to go every where but where I want them to. I sometimes walk side ways and even take steps backwards

Walking was a issue from day one of my initial onset. Some days were fine and others it's a struggle. I did notice a big change in my legs about a year ago.....not the same for sure. Seems I have lost a lot of muscle tone. They become weak as the day goes on everyday anymore
