In 2006 I was having significant problems (losing vocabulary, memory loss, confusion, brain fog, etc..) to the point of fearing I would need institutionalized. It was thought that I may have mercury toxicity. At the time I could not afford testing AND treatment, so I underwent the treatment without the tests to confirm the mercury tox. I had my metal dental fillings removed and followed that with Chelation IV's, which included glutathione. Within a 7-10 days, I regained about 80% of the… read more

Shelly, I had spasms really bad too. You have to have Botox more than once it is ongoing. You know when it is time to get more when those spasms start again. They don't want you to wait until they are severe again. I was told that some people have reported that each time they last a little longer. I was diagnosed with a Neurogenic bladder. Before that diagnosis I had another urologist that did biopsies on my bladder because I had what he thought may be cancer. Come to find out it was like that because I have such an overactive bladder.

Shelly, yes they do help. I really can't tell you how much they are as I do not remember. I know there are two different ways that doctors do this procedure. If you look it up it shows where they just numb you and then do the procedure and other doctors still put you to sleep to do it. My doctor used to have his patients put to sleep but now they do the procedure that I described by just numbing you. When they put you to sleep it obviously cost more because you have the operating room and the all the people that put you to sleep whereas the other way they just inject like a numbing jell into your bladder and then take you to a sterile room and perform the injections. It is definitely much cheaper than a neurostimulator which I had and no longer have as I had them remove it. I think the cost has a lot to do with how well your insurance company pays. I hope I was of some help to you. I do know that they can still also put you on oral meds to help along with the Botox.

Good luck I hope everything works out for you. If working I would fight the insurance company on that as you have a medical reason not to have the silver in your mouth. I had an issue with getting Botox for my bladder as my husband's insurance never had anyone have this done so they first denied it. I had my dr. and of course my husband's Union Rep. along with myself fighting them on this and they wrote a policy on it or whatever you call it and now they never argue it and since they don't put me to sleep to do it anymore it is covered at 100%.

@A MyMSTeam Member, I was never diagnosed with Glutathione. However had a lot of "silver" in my mouth! It was about a year after I was diagnosed with MS there was a study that came out that almalgam(the silver fillings) aggravated MS so my parents had good insurance and set me up to have 7 fillings removed and replaced with porcelain. I didn't feel a change. Since then about 22 years my dentists are putting the "silver" back in because it lasts longer. I've explained to them why I had all the porcelain but they discouraged me and said I couldn't afford it soooo.... silver it is.

Hi,
I'm getting my 5 Mercury fillings out next week and trying to learn about glutathione. I do know from reading lots of blogs you ate supposed to be careful to give your body breaks and monitor dosage well.
What's your experience now? All those brain issues are affecting me too, it's scary stuff.
