I've actually thought about having someone I know that has a parent with MS join... I think it would be very beneficial that they understand. In addition, they may even give advice for what they do to help the MSers! Also, this group is typically more "up beat" than depressing. Yes we talk about our bad symptoms but we also are very supportive and even make each other laugh! I don't have a spouse of caregiver but I sometimes with that some of my friends would join just so they understand.

I think it would help the spouse/caregiver. They would be able to see what MS is like from a different perspective other than their spouse's.
Could also ask questions they have about MS that they may not fully understand.

I'm not exactly sure what the rules are, but I know some people get really upset when people without ms join. I don't see what difference it would make. I say go for it......if certain folks don't like it, they don't have to read the posts.
