Yes they Denied me twice , the third time W/Lawyer got it Best of LUCK!!!

I haven't worked since September of 2004. I applied to social security and at first they denied it, which I was told they would, but I immediately went out and got a lawyer and they did a reconsideration request immediately (this is different than an appeal and I would suggest everyone do this first prior to filing an appeal) and upon receiving the reconsideration request with all of my documented issues, especially since I was on pain medication, I was approved and had my first check within five months from the date of my initial application, which is the required waiting period.

I have heard writing a letter can help I was denied my SS disability twice after phone interviews. When I went to court I had a rep from ALLSUP with me,When I left that court hearing I felt sure I would be denied,but writing a letter made the difference, ALLSP did take quite a bit of my money,but they ultimately got the job done.

It takes forever. On my 2nd denial, the one in front of the judge, they stated that i was exaggerating my symptoms, lying about my functionality and abilities, and using this fir financial gain...... idiots. Appealed that and waiting. I think they take so long to push you and see how much misery and financial loss you can take to see if you will get a job because you have to. They want to ruin anything good you have in your life, as if having MS isnt enough to deal with....

Yep, i am in the same boat. On my last appeal, it went in for judicial review, and if they deny it, off to a lawsuit it goes.....thats the last step for me. I am writing to my congressman on the advise of my state-rep. Wish me luck.
