My right leg from the knee down, feels tingly, kind of like it's going to sleep. It feels so cold it hurts and it is very achy, this goes right into my foot and toes are numb. I have had this for some time, but it is getting worse. Does anyone else have this? If you do, what do you do for it?

@A MyMSTeam Member It can't hurt to tell him/her. Might have more useful suggestions for you to try. Try to have a good day!

@A MyMSTeam Member. I have the cold tingly feelings in both my legs. I am unable to walk any more, so I'm guessing it has something to do with circulation. I have a small heater that heats my knees to my feet (if I'm sitting). This helps buut only temporarily. It must be the nerve damage from ms. My left leg is also the one with the most spasms. My neurologist put me on baclofen which helps somewhat. Renate's suggestion of the heating pad is good, just make sure you moniter your skin so you don't get burned. If you're legs feel like tthey're "asleep", you could injure yourself & not know it. I hope this helps.

It's pretty much all of the time now. I've gotten used to it. At night I take 300mg of Gabepentin, which allows me to sleep. No worries, it could be so much worse. Thanks for asking :)

Geneva: I was told never to use a heating pad, you may want to check this over with your doctor. I do use blue rub also. When I had the blood clot at the hospital , that's when they told me not to apply heat or use a heating pad.

I frequently use a heating pad, sometimes use that blue rub in that I get at the Dollar store. The blue stuff helps better than pain medicine by mouth, usually. I'm glad to hear you are all aware to watch out for blood clots, which can give very similar symptoms.
