Has anyone experienced calf cramps while on Plegridy? I'm on my second month and I've been experiencing constant calf pain/cramps so I'm wondering if it's related to the meds? Thanks!
I am on Plegridy, and I have been experiencing terrible muscle cramps. A friend posted an article to my facebook page about treatments for leg cramps. I would like to share some of them with everyone here. 1. get up and move around during the day, because prolonged sitting and bad posture can cause stress in your legs. 2. Take a bath before bed or use a heating pad to ease muscle tightness. 3. Do Stretching exercises for your legs before bed. 4. Incorporate water exercising to help strengthen your muscles. 5. Consuming Horse Chestnut - it supports fluid balance and circulation in your legs. and last the one I found immediately helpful: 6. TABLESPOON OF VINEGAR IN WATER - I tried this at 3 a.m. a couple nights ago because I woke with my foot cramping terribly, and walking on it wouldn't help. It wasn't a pleasant thing to drink, but within a couple of minutes my cramps stopped. VINEGAR OR MUSTARD has acetic acid which prompts the body to make acetylcholine which eases the leg cramp. IT WORKS!!! Hope this helps some of you with the same problems
I am trying this tonight!
I was having bad muscle spams in my calf muscles, and in my lower back area. I tried Baclofen, but it didn't work for me. I am taking Flexeril (muscle relaxer) now as needed and it takes care of the spasms.
I have had "cramps" or what I call flu aches in my muscles and joints. My doctor prescribed Baclofen and it has worked really well to keep that side effect under control.
Yes! The only side affect I had was cramped calves but it only lasted two days. That was the only side affect I've had so i feel pretty good about it
