Of all my doctors, my PCP put me on Baclofen, hoping my legs, head, and back pain get better. So my question to you is how well you tolerated it, I've read some horror stories, lol. I've been on Flexeril and Soma and have had no side effects whatsoever, never knocked me out. Thanks in advance for any input!!

I guess it depends on what symptoms you are trying to impact. I quit taking my 60 mg per day of Baclofen for spasticity a month ago because it was turning my leg and back muscles to jello. I take Ampyra and the Baclofen was undoing all the good that the Ampyra had been doing for the past year. Within 2 days of quiting the Baclofen my mobility and balance improved dramatically, and those improvements are still here today.

I too reduced from 60mg during the day to just 10 . the remaining 50 I take at night for leg's kicking and keeping me awake. I too found to much during the day was making walking more difficult with jello legs. Great description ED.

My neurologist had me just quit taking the 60 mg of Baclofen, we did not reduce the dosage over time. She said the Baclofen pills were like aspirin and passed through our system daily. There was no mention of any possibility of a seizure, and thank God, it's been a month and I did not have one. Perhaps people who have a Baclofen pump are under different guidelines.

Plus I think if you stop taking it to quickly you can have a seizure.

Baclofen has been a life saver for me. I take 90 mg per day because I have spasticity pretty much everywhere. I began to walk almost normal pretty much immediately upon taking it. I have a lot of spasticity.
Everytime I've been examined by a doctor, they comment on feeling it during the exam. Now I'm having trouble with my throat closing up and getting choked on food and dr. says it may be a spastic esophagus. The pharmacist says I'm taking a high dose but I've never had any bad side effects to it. A doctor did tell me that it's important to take it in the amount your doc says and not just to jerk your self off because you could have really bad dehabilitating cramps.
