I get this electrical sharp sensations going down my arms into my hands and I was curious if anyone gets these. If so, how do you make them go away? They go away every couple months, but they come back

My arms and legs always have the same sensation each day. Some days it kicks up to pain from discomfort, but I say the normal is the sensation of licking a nine volt battery. While not thrilled with the feeling, I have learned to accept it and move on. Hate when it ratchets up to electrical shock or knife cuts.

@A MyMSTeam Member,, The minute I saw what you wrote about LHermittes Sign, I wrote it down so I could see what Google & a few medical sites say about it. I described it (the Taser-like sensation I get from my neck to the middle of the left side halfway up my head) to my smart ophthalmologist last week. Then I remembered I had 2 herniated discs in my neck approx. 5 yeas ago==could this be a clue ??)(LOL); For the whole summer I thought it was a 'stiff' neck'
So I stopped using my heavy-duty fan when I slept. Eventually I went to a local walk-in clinic. They did an MRI (not as rough as an MS MRI). The doc gave me a collar to wear and said I didn't have to wear it if it wasn't comfortable.
Conclusion: Ophthalmologist said I should see an orthopedic doc, but NOT if he/she has SURGEON after the "orthopedic" label. I'll bring it up to my neuro (via email) + see what she says.
Thanks for the info.

That is neuropathy and Gabapentin usually helps me.

I used to get electric shocks from my thighs down to my knees; my neuro prescribed Neurontin (generic: gabapentin). That helped . BUT for the last 6 months I feel an electric shock from my neck upward to the middle of my head; someone described hers as feeling like she's being 'tasered'. The shock lasts for 1 or 2 seconds, but it feels deeper and worse that what I had on my legs, and Neurontin isn't helping. Current neuro says it's 'just a nerve'. unacceptable.
