Question 1- I just read this and figure I'd ask everyone but is there anyone who's taste buds has changed? I love chicken, fried but lately can't tolerate it because it smell raw but baked and boiled is no problem.
Question 2 - I'm confused, is numbness another way of describing a tingling sensation or not? I just recently heard it was. Just need some clarity.
Thanks everyone =)

I think the terms tingling and numbness describe two different things, though they may seem similar. To me, numbness is lack of feeling or sensation. Tingling is a sensation, different from normal. They are both different, but I'm not sure distinguishing them makes us feel any better when it happens.

Victoria i'may not sure if it is my taste buds or my overall senses---smell, taste, touch, hearing, and emotions --are all affected by the lesions (scarring /damage ) to your brain. I have noticed I am extremely sensitive to Light & Sound. I don't drive at night unless I want a migraine, and use sunglasses during the day, to dull external light stimulus. I can't walk and hear loud noises. My brain and body are out of sequence, and it appears as if I am drunk, or learning to walk. It would be like someone screaming and waking you up, and you trying to get dressed and run---"Not cute!!"
TINGLING &Numbness are different for me. Tingling feels like "Pop Rocks , bubbles, or freezing cold on my skin or in my bones. If you feel cold on your thighs or upper arms, ask, someone if it is cold, if not ,you are experiencing tingling. It can also feel like ants are crawling up your skin.
Numbness feels like, I am looking at my fingers, see them, but I can't feel that they are there. It is different than when you're foot falls asleep ---although it can be painted and burning, but normally I can't register the body part , through touch with my brain. Feeling usually comes back within seconds or minutes.
I hope this helps😊

@A MyMSTeam Member yep finally people that can understand, I have developed super smell and am really sensitive to smells. I also used to go off peanuts ie the smell and taste and it signified a relapse. However I'm stumped by this I used to like a slice of toast in the morning with peanut butter on it, one day my friend brought me it as usual and I took a bite and it turned me. So we thought relapse..we tried just a slice of toast and I was almost sick. I have not had toast since and can freely eat peanut??? I also am beginning to like more spice in food and think it's because my taste is deadened??
Thanks @A MyMSTeam Member for the tips re palate cleanser just wanted to ask is it hot or cold water??

My taste buds have definitely changed. I do find that the cucumber in water & Lemmon in water helps as it cleanses your pallet, Ginger is good as well. Also good dental hygiene, floss rice with Act because of the crowns on my teath. Tingling to my is tingle, prickly is different & hot or cold is different. Dr will help you hone in on the exact feeling. Hope this helps. Peace & Much Love!

Hi @A MyMSTeam Member This is funny because, I don't like spicy foods at all can't eat them don't eat them. But a few years ago I had made some tacos and the seasoning I used must have been spicy. My family eats spicy foods and My significant other could not eat them. He asked my niece did Sheri eat them and she said yes he called me out of the room and said you eat them i said yes why he was like wasn't they spicy to you? No they was not he said something is wrong with you because, they was spicy and I can't eat them. So i ate tacos for a few days. My taste goes out and comes back but I hate when it dose I go off of looking at the food for the season. Numbness I have all the time my fingertips are numb, but I am used to it. You will find things going wrong with you and not even think about it. I hope i didn't bore you Sheri
