Hi all, did anyone with leg symptoms start out with a strange feeling in their legs like they just didn't have the same strength as they used to? I don't have significant difficulty walking and have no lesions in my spine. Lately though my legs feel alot weaker and the neurologist and GP have noticed this on examination. Thanks π
@A MyMSTeam Member, how long have you had MS? I was diagnosed in October of last year, but have had symptoms for 13 years (it took that long for me to "pass" the spinal tap test). My legs started feeling weak last year, and my left leg became noticeably smaller than the right. Last month my left knee started buckling on me. BOO! I've tried exercising at the gym and it just makes it worse. That's probably because the weakness level in different muscles varies, so I probably strain things. I'm so glad I saw your post! I'm going to talk to my doc next week about physical therapy - they know what to move and not move! :)
Yes I did do I went to the gym and statted to use tty he gym yo strenthen my legs and the rest of me
At the start I had weakness in my left leg and I started to fall over and didn't know where my leg was in relation to my body so I would put downward pressure on my leg before I was ready and that made me fall over. Hope that's off some help.
Hi Nicki, I was diagnosed 6 months ago but first attack was probably 3 years ago. The Gp said a physiotherapist would help so am going to do that - sound like you definately should as well. They can target the right areas so you don't over do it at the gym π
I've been having a lot more leg problems also. Much more pain in legs and knees and problems walking. Never had lesions on spine but would be interested to find out if you've developed them. I've been wondering if that may be my case....
