Pregnancy
My sons girlfriend was recently diagnosed with MS she is pregnant early stages is there a drug for MS that she can take
She should take vitamins and enjoy being pregnant! Babies are good for moms to be!
Under the advisement of my world renowned MS specialist, I took copaxone all through my pregnancy and breastfeeding. My daughter is happy and healthy. I am on a mom blog and more and more women with Ms are staying on copaxone during pregnancy. It is always best to seek care from and listen to the advice of an MS specialist. Copaxone is a category B for pregnancy. I did a lot of my own research, spoke to my neurologist and ob and spoke to the drug company itself. You are usually pretty stable during pregnancy but postpartum can be very risky.
I felt wonderful when I was pregnant. I was diagnosed before my second child and before my Neuro prescribed Beta Seron. I have been injecting that drug ever since. No new flares and at 61 that makes me wicked happy.
It will be the best 9 months of her life..... Tell her to enjoy it to the fullest.....
I don't know which drugs are safe for baby. Had my boys then MS. My Neurologist said pregnancy slows down MS. God bless
