Having Big Trouble Sleeping. Need Your Secrets... Tried A Lot Of Things. No Meds Help...
Hi @A MyMSTeam Member, I went online and found a course on relaxation, meditation and visualization... I found one and I took it best thing I ever did for me, now I'm a relaxation therapist but never made a penny out of it but I sleep soooooooooooo good....
As far as having a hard time sleeping? Welcome to the CLUB!!
Without the use of drugs, it was suggested that I adjust my behavior to allow for circadian rhythm. 1. Get excercise earlier in the day, and don't exercise at night. 2. In the four hours before bed, do not eat. 3. Do not drink liquids before bed, to prevent waking for the bathroom. 4. Do not use any screens one hour before bed. 5. Do something relaxing to wind down in the evening. 6. Try guided meditation, or listening to rain to help soothe to sleep. 7. Temperature controlled sleeping environment.
I am probably missing things, but those have helped me get off of meds and allow me to be more awake in the morning. By all means, if Melatonin or Benadryl work for you, try them. They don't work for me, thus the alternatives. Good luck, and sweetest dreams 🤞🏻
