Does any one have numbness in their fingers ... Like half of the fingers feel numb and tingles like it's a sleep all the time
Yes. I also get what I call 'cartoon hand' - where it feels like someone is blowing my hand up when I can't see it! LOL! I just have to laugh! After my first (really bad) MS attack my left side is numb. I don't notice it any more - but it was a process of turning off the reaction in my brain. I know that sounds silly - but once I learned that the feeling was actually in my brain it was easier for me (I'm really a logical person) to ignore the numbness & tingling. I still get what I call 'zingers' - the buzzers that fly around my body - sometimes they stop me in my tracks - not from pain, but shock. I had to learn to use my left hand again - to type, to brush my teeth, to shower - everything. It wasn't easy, but I did it. I have great 'visual control', but I still drop EVERYTHING! We are renovating our house (we're on the 10 yr renovation plan - LOL) & have decided to put wood floors throughout because things will be less likely to break if dropped on wood than on a solid surface! You just figure out what works for you!
If you have pain with the numbness, meditation & meds will help alot! Also, an anti-inflammatory diet may help with your overall numbness because it will help reduce the inflammation all over your body - your spine & brain included.
Just laugh about it, but make sure that you tell your neuro - they need to document it & there are options out there for helping!
my numbness is from the ball of both feet only when i take my shoes and socks off each evening
So do I. But my numbness is constant now. Now I have scoliosis because I watch my feet when I walk so I can see where my feet are going. And if they did or did not move.
Yes, I get numbness and stinging in my fingers. Also very cold, even when my body and the environment is warm. I keep gloves all around the house!
YES!! I do from time to time. That is a slip shot answer. I have RRMS and my body plays tricks on me from hr to day to day! I have no feeling one minute in my BODY! It started with my feet no feeling then spread to my legs and up to the rest of my body. There are times my legs are itchy too! I can itch and no results. Then my hands I pull weeds and tear my skin(did not feel I cut myself) until I see blood leaking out. Then still do not feel the sore. I have actually caused my back to be rolled over BECAUSE I walk looking at my feet so I do not FALL because NO feeling to see where they ARE located! Hopefully they (my feet) are still there. (;D)
