As I have been trial treated for a multiple different diagnosis, I have found that Mestinon does help when my symptoms are at their worse. Myasthenia Gravis has been ruled out, so this makes no sense to anyone. Is there anyone else out there with this experience? I have gone without out several times as an experiment, but keep returning as I run into problems. I am currently not taking any treatment for MS as I am awaiting an LP this week for hopeful confirmation...

Hi..... I have been tested for MG and given Mestinon to see if that would help with my muscle weakness around my cycles. I took it as needed NOT 3x/day. For me it takes about 30 mins to start working and it stops in about 4 hrs. After taking it for about 15 yrs (AS NEEDED) I was concerned of the damage it would cause me physically. I may get an MRI to see if I have MS...... But if do then Mestinon does help. I just can't believe that after 15 yrs. of going to MANY specialists and MDs and Neurologists and having muscle testing and other tests that an MRI of my brain hasn't been thought of.
