Is There Physical And Occupational Therapy For MS
I have had both physical and occupational therapy. When I first started attending, I had difficulty shopping in small stores because my legs would get tired. Standing in one spot was extremely difficult. Now I am shopping in large grocery stores and hardware stores. They worked on strengthening my core and other areas that help balance and endurance. Unfortunately, my sessions have stopped and I don't do the exercises they taught me anymore, but I try to stay active inside and outside at my home. I also remind my husband that I must continue to go to large stores to keep up the strength they helped me develop. When I went to physical therapy, they worked with me on land and in the water. After finishing the Aqua Therapy, they suggested that I start with exercise classes they have in the water. I will try to go this week. I am starting new physical therapy to help my neck and the problems it is causing. I feel blessed to have attended physical and occupational therapy. My neurologist is the doctor that referred me.
