This is hard to explain. Does anyone experience light headless and feeling. When walking you feel l8ke your walking side ways and going up a hill but your walking straight. Does everyone always have a walk drunk or when they feel like they are off balance?

I often have difficulty walking straight as I wander to the left as if I am intoxicated. Drift not stagger. I also have no difficulty with distances and endurance, but rather course. I try to walk every day at the health club on either the treadmill, elliptical or the stair climber where I can have a hand hold. Usually get in 6 - 7.5 miles. To cool down I try to walk a few laps on the track, but need to be sure it is not being used by many and that I can hug the left rail or wall.
Open spaces are very difficult.

I deal with a lot of balance issues. The way I first explained it to my neurologists was it felt like I was trying to walk across a waterbed even though I'm walking on flat, hard pavement and when I'm standing still I have the sensation that I'm on a boat in choppy waters. I thought it would be hard to explain but she acted like what I was experiencing was completely normal. The walking sideways feeling even though you're walking straight is a symptom I actually experienced just a month or two before I was even diagnosed and them with treatment of coarse it cleared up and I didn t have another problem with it until last August or September when I had a relapse which is when I had the waterbed/rocking boat symptom. Since my last relapse though I've progressively gotten worse and now I actually have to use a cane most of the time. When I'm feeling fine and not using my cane, especially when standing, I'll suddenly lose my balance and fall to the side. I just had this exact situation happen to me last Thursday and I pretty much have it happen periodically several times a week.

Lol drift, not stagger @A MyMSTeam Member.
I'm a drifter, at least 3 times accompanied by light headed feeling...good thing I wasn't in the wine aisle :)
My usual balance difficulty is when I cannot see or when I'm tired, so I would likely fail a sobriety test because tipping my head or closing my eyes and tandem walking would be like walking a slack tight rope.
