Members bonded over the frustrating and very common MS-related issue of bowel urgency and loose stools, with many expressing relief that they were not alone in struggling to find real solutions. Several members shared practical strategies including probiotics and prebiotics daily, a GI doctor referral, trying Colestipol (prescribed for urgency and loose stools), prenatal vitamins, and Pepto-Bismol before going out. A recurring theme was frustration that doctors often dismiss the issue, paired with encouragement to seek a neuro-gastroenterologist and to keep advocating for better answers.

Yes, the iron. Can't hurt.

Maybe it's certain foods that are triggering the urgent loose bowel problem. Milk intolerance perhaps. Try illiminating milk products and see if that helps. Could be lactose intolerant.

Look at that - many of us have the same problem and none of us have no legit answer to it. And it's no matter what MS ummunomodufiers we take or we don't we are all left to our strategic washroom search! Why? Because no one is interested in real help, just RX expensive meds that do not work. I'm duper upset! Ideas?

Try a prenatal vitamin. I was taking it for another reason but it has a constipation side effect.

Thanks for the in depth response @CoollLioness
No pain, so it's a signal issue most likely.
I'm not taking muscle relaxant. Can't risk the situation to get completely out of hands because I work.
