Mouth Pain
Last Thursday went to the dentist and he stated it was a nerve when cold affected my tooth. So he gave me a script called "PreviDent Rinse" to help ease the pain and buy a mouth guard. Well I tried it and it went into something else, which is starting to affect the nerves in my tongue and cheek. It's also waking me up in the middle of the night. Has anyone ever experienced this problem????
Oh and anyone can get TN. It's just if you have MS, you have a 30% higher risk of developing it
I was think trigeminal neuralgia too. And it was very painful from what I seen when I work for a neuro dr.
Sounds like it could be Trigeminal Neuralgia. Any other areas of your face affected? One side?
Good afternoon CoolLoiness,
He did agree it is Trigeminal Neuralgia and wants to try steroid patches. But I will ask him about the Gabapentin and see what he thinks about it. I know he thinks about what will work with taking my Gilenya and not against it, but I will discuss it with him. Thanks again for your concern
When I had it I found that if I slacked open my mouth and kept my tongue off my teeth it helped ever so slightly to relieve the pain. Don't know why...and I looked stupid but what ever helps right?!
