I have been telling my doctor I have been having periods of vertigo and he told me that it has nothing to do with MS. Does anyone else have vertigo? Or should I just be persistent with my doctor? With me the vertigo comes with a headache and tthe doctor tells me it's just the headache causing the vertigo.. any suggestions?

Your doctor obviously knows next to nothing, vertigo is very much a MS symptom, if not the number 1 symptom.
I'd be changing doctor if they're displaying that level of incompetence.

Very discouraging to hear this because my Dr's have done the same with different symptoms. I have done a lot of research since diagnosed in March this year, I read all these symptoms of MS, discuss mine with the Dr's and same as you they say it's something else, not MS. I just want to scream!!! I'm on my 2nd Dr. This one a specialist in another state, I still deal with the same thing. All we can do is keep pushing, I'm printing MS symptoms and bringing them to my next appointment. I'm going to hold on to his lab coat till he answers me or points me in another direction

Hello @A MyMSTeam Member,

I hope you are well today x

I have awful vertigo on occasion too; especially when I am fatigued and stressed (which is often). It feels like the floor is falling away, everything looks 'slanted'; it makes me feel sick. My MS consultant said this can be part of the condition and that not everybody experiences it (ain't that just typical with MS?!).

The best thing for me is to lie down, close my eyes and rest. I had to stop driving and riding my motorbike because of it - when the white lines in the road started to converge and sometimes even crossed, I figured it was not a good thing to be belting along at 60mph.

Rest, rest, and then more rest. Look after yourself.
Love,
L
