Does anyone know if there is any drugs that work for Overactive Spastic Bladder and Retention? I am lucky enough to have both issues. Thanks...
I'm going to say my bladder is overactive. 4-6 hrs sleep at night would be great, every hr or 2 is reality. Or when the feeling hits, it's time, no holding it anymore.
Sorry had go bathroom AGAIN lol 😔it seemss hafta go every 10-15 minutes lately! Back to my comments..
I'm not able afford Botox anyway but don't think I'll be doing it .... fighting doing self cath but might have too
need see a urologists again but don't want to and now with w/c and lift have have hubby help and wears him out too.. wit his heart stents worry about hI'm ....I don't want too.. oh well ....
I started straight cath about a year ago. It really helps control my bladder and I can go 3 to 4 hrs between catheterization in the day. My right hand is halfway numb but it gets easier after a few weeks.
My urologist is going to Botox my bladder this spring because I also have retention and spactcity. She is worried about back flush into the kidneys
I've got both. Did all the pills and now on Oxybutynin. I get Botox injections into the bladder to stop the spasms (life changing!). I fought self cathing for the retention until my second round of Botox completely paralyzed my bladder and I had no choice. Once starting to do it (2-3x) per day, I saw what a huge difference it made, so have continued. Spamming and retention is quite common with MS. Look up "Neurogenic Bladder" and "Detrusor Sphincter Dysenergia".
