Strange question I know. As the nerves are being exposed when the myelin sheath is attacked by your immune system can you feel it? I've had a cold for weeks now so my immune system is in full swing. The last couple of days my spine has been hurting. My husband can't feel any tense muscles or anything so I just wondered if anyone else has felt this and had a relapse.
@A MyMSTeam Member I have the onset of a cold for about a week, completely bunged up. For the past 2 days I am in total agony at the base of my spine and all around my middle, I have never suffered with my back before, my children say I look like a little old woman when I am trying to stand up from sitting, how very bizarre xx
Definitely. Haven't been to work for 3 weeks after a fire alarm episode and having to stand out in the rain for over half an hour. Have you heard of MS hug, which feels like a tight belt around your middle or ribs? Sounds sweet but is painful. My walking has suffered ever since. Low back pain stops me from being able to lie comfortably in bed! See you GP and MS Nurse/team for advice. Hope you feel better soon. Kathryn. Xx
@Deborah781221....that is exactly the same spot I get them. The C2. That is where my biggest lesion is. Right on the ole spinal cord.
I had the bad headaches and sore neck, also. Was pracribed anti-inflammatories and they are working brilliantly.
It well get better if you believe it will, I'm believing it and it is slowly getting better.
