I have had vertigo since Dec. it has gotten better but still feel drunk driving and when I move around. My ms doc said he did not think it was caused by ms as I did not have that as a system when diagnosed. Thanks
Hey Tom...maybe you should get another opinion...The nervous system can affect anything in your body so I have never heard someone say that Vertigo is not a symptom for MS patients. I hope you feel better very soon. That is a rough feeling. :)
This is the type that usually comes and goes and is associated with your eyes trying to constantly adjust to the imbalance - this kind responds well to the exercises and goes away if you do them properly.
The vertigo caused by MS however, does not go away with exercise or medication - and I have been dealing with this since I was 18 years old. Yes I still drive, but not on days when the vertigo is bad. You have to learn to adjust. And accept the fact that you are going to have some days that are going to be great, and other days that are just not so. It's challenging at first, but if you keep your mind positive and your spirit high you can accomplish anything!
Good luck!

Just take the meds for vertigo. When needed. It helps with the diziness
