My nephew is living with his sister who has cared for him, but can no longer do so. He needs assisted living of some kind and Medicare won't help, and he doesn't know how to get the help he needs. Suggestions anyone?

I don't know if your niece has tried to get him on AHCCCS or not, but they might be able to help. Here are a few websites.
benefitsapplication.com
govhub.com/Medicaid-Medicaid eligibility by state.
easymedicareinfo.com/Medicaid-Medicaid for seniors & people with disabilities.
www.fdhc.state.us/medicaid/index.shtml
I hope this information is helpful. Medicaid might help where Medicare won't. I wish her good luck. If nothing else maybe she can do as Cherilouwebby suggested. Take him to a county hospital and they might help her get him on Medicaid and into an assisted living facility.
Take care, and again good luck.

Best way to get to a nursing home is to get admitted to hospital. That's tricky in it's self. Good luck.
