I recently have been experiencing pain in my fingers. It's mainly in the joints of the fingers and it started with my left thumb. It doesn't hurt all the time it hurts when I grab things or move my fingers a certain way. There is no burning sensation or tingling sensation it feels more like an aching. I did not know if this was something that was MS related or if it was Possibly arthritis. Anybody out there experiencing the same thing?
This sounds like arthritis. My mother has very bad arthritis in her hands.
I also have pains in my fingers. Have for a few years due to arthritis. And now I can add tingles, hotness, numbness, and partial loss of feeling in the fingertips.
I have achy hands if I over use them! I try to stretch my fingers and hands which usually helps! When it gets to annoying I take an Advil or Motrin to relive the possible swelling of joints!
I always tested positive for R A and never had any symptoms but I too am getting it in my fingers and elbow
My fingers only have severe damage to the joints & lack of dexterity. I've had a blood test & results said osteoarthritis with inflammation. Severity in only one area is unusual. I think it is linked to my ms. Compression gloves have made a huge difference, get them tight & they are great for support of the joints & reduce swelling. Magnesium spray on the joints has also helped.
