Rituxan To Get In Remission
I was diagnosed just less than one year ago with RR. I've never felt like I have actually "remitted" though. I switched doctors and finally confirmed my thoughts, as he too said "we need to get you into remission". I start Rituxan next week (day 1, day 14 and 6 months later) and will continue taking Copaxone 3x a week through it. Has anyone else used Rituxan to "get into remission"?
I started it because Gilenya had stopped working as I had several new lesions. Prior to that my "normal" was slight numbness in my legs and hands, weakness in my legs but not too bad. Once the new lesions hit it gave me the severe nerve pain and major balance issues. I now walk with a walking stick. Since the Rituxan I have not gotten worse but my new "normal" sucks because of the prior lesions. This new medicine apparently shows signs of symptoms improving. π€π»
Were you feeling "stable" before starting the Rituxan? I know more lesions aren't good but we also have to consider how we're feeling and I always feel like crap π
I've been on Retuxan for a year and a half. My MRI's have shown no progression. I am hoping that when I'm due for my next infusion that the new medicine will be available.
@A MyMSTeam Member.. if rituxin is working for you,I would wait awhile before starting anew drug.. read the side effect profile of Ocrevus, and discuss with your dr..
@A MyMSTeam Member. I'm on Gileyna. I take it every 3rd day. How long were you on it before it stopped working?
