What are your thoughts on the new medication Ocrevus by Genentech? Anyone currently taking this medication? What are your thoughts on side effects?

I know a man that has been on it for 4 years (he was in the study for it). He has done amazing and says there is no way he would go without it. The drawback for him is that he will now have to pay for it. If I remember right... he has not had any exacerbation while on it.

I have heard testimonials that it works wonders but it has no track record in general use. The VA is very conservative and when they start to use it I will trust it. They tend to sit back and wait several years till it is proven that it is safe. They have two qulafications that I know of. It is FDA approved and does it have a good track record. I asked about when I saw my nero at the Sarasota Fl VA and I was given the choice to try it. She also said your liver looks good and you have no progression. No more needles is a big draw but as long as I have no progression I am going to suck if up till I do. Kind of a non answer, sorry 😔
