Question On Heat Sensitivity
Im not diagnosed but have gone through mris which were normal, ssep, bloods ect. When i get overly hot by a shower or the weather just a small spot on my heel tingles. I have been told this is from back and disc problems. I have heard heat intensifies ms symptoms and am wondering if it manifests in this manner or if with ms it is much more severe. I dont notice the tingly spot unless I'm paying attention to it, but it still comes on with heat?
Those signs are a bit scary, sorry! I live with PPMS and find that cooling down in the shower has helped me a lot. When you are done with a nice warm shower, turn it down slowly until you actually start to feel your body temp go down. This has helped me so much, can't believe I just figured this out. I'm sure it will help you too, and others I hope.
Hi, question ? Are you seeing the spots in your eyeball or on your skin? If you are seeing spots I would go to the eye doctor because before I was diagnosed with MS I was seeing spots in my left eye, double vision, and then the migraines came. The eye doctor told me that the optic nerve ( which is connected from the brain to eyeball was swollen and that's why my vision was messed up.
@A MyMSTeam Member we had our baby BOY hes doing very well and is healthy!
Also, yes i have had an emg and that was clear. Which they did say emg arent always super accurate because it could be a positional problem or a smaller nerve that is affected or just a bundle that isn't damaged enough to show evidence.
Thank you so much @A MyMSTeam Member for your input! It does make me feel better. Yes i have had ALL imaging possible done lol which detected the back problems i have.. and the SSEP to make sure nothing was missed in imaging. I feel like it was pretty thorough. I have seeked my primary whose friend is a ms specialist and they said no, 2 neurologist one who has quite a few ms patients and my natropath. I'm sure there's more im forgetting lol they all dont even consider the possibility. It was the heat issue that i kept holding onto.. i tend to be an anxious person and with no explination of that and all dr google shows up is ms i have been caught in the middle of reality and what my mind/anxiety is making me believe.
