I'm having a thoracic MRI tonight which is the only part of my central nervous system that has not been imaged. So far I only have lesions on Brain MRI that are suggestive of MS. Originally my neurologist did not want to do an MRI on the thoracic spine even though I have absent abdominal reflexes. I don't think lesion placement matters on the spine
I began with lesions in my thoracic spine then they started appearing on my cervical spine

Thank you both! They sent me home with the disc and of course I'm not a radiologist but researching these things has made me somewhat familiar. My untrained eye doesn't see anything on the cord on a sagital view but the discs have dots as you say World Traveler! . And two of the discs in the upper thoracic area are pretty white where they face each other. I'm not familiar with the axial views. Lucy I have good coverage too, thank God! This has been a crazy couple of years for me medically. It's been a rocky start with this Neurologist, but I'm starting to like him. Never doubted he was a good doctor though. Happy Weekend!!! ;)
My doctor's standard MRI order is always head, cervical spine, thoracic spine. He likes to review all of this, once per year. Thank god I have good medical insurance and since the ACA there are no cap limits.
