how does one feel if they are having a relapse. i have had 2 relapse since i was diagnosis 5yr ago. the last one was close to 6 month ago, and before that it was 6 month before last treatment. Each time my symptons were different, please help me on this
I was diagnosed in 2004.
I've had numbness, both upper and lower extremities as well as banding(bear hug sensation) around my back and chest. I've had my face feel numb. I've developed drop foot/leg dragging. Blurry peripheral vision. All these symptoms have happened at different times over the years.
I learned the hard way that I need to listen to my body more when I push myself to work to much or to hard.
My most recent flare up was about 2 years ago and my worst yet. I developed severe vertigo and double vision forcing me out on medical leave for 3 months.
I'm back to work but not picking up as many extra shifts as I had before much to my co-workers' dismay.
My health is more important so I can be there for my son. I recently wound up dating and breaking up with a real loser. If that means I wind up becoming the crazy cat lady so be it. After my health my son is my number one priority and anyone who doesn't like it can go pound sand.
I was finally diagnosed in Oct of las year after being misdiagnosed for many years went back to work then had a relapse it was different still dealing but the more I push myself I feel my symptoms worsen you have to listen to your body sounds like you have the right mind set. I am still struggling with it myself.
im so new to the ms i just always thought it was fibromyalgia. let me know when you find out.. lol
I have been curious too. I recently got some swallowing issues, which are better, but not gone. Thats new. I still get the buzzy feeling in my legs but its not all the time. My left hand has been a little numb. I wonder if when you get a new symptom, its a new lesion.
thank you i will see what happens this weeks if symptoms worsen i will call neuro for treatment
