try to do pelvic floor exercises - initially I did them 3 times a day. Now I do Pilates and specific balance exercises (following scary falls), which involves pelvic floor muscles anyway. It has REALLY helped and given me back a lot of the control that I'd lost.
Also have IBS, (which I'm learning to control through diet, hopefully). I do all of this exercises because we had a session with an urologist and out brilliant MS nurse, who made things very clear. WE. NEED. TO. DO. PELVIC.FLOOR. EXERCISES.!! if not, loss of control makes you feel less than an adult and maybe scared to leave the house/depressed. not good. I watch for signs of infections, and take a lot of little baths if I need to. I'm 66, so I use Ovestin cream to help protect me from bladder infections.Hope all this helps and you didn't stop reading after the word 'exercises'! Love to you all, J

After suffering terribly from frequent UTI's which always lead to a relapse! I went to see a urologist who prescribed me hormone pessaries! BINGO, that was 12 months ago no UTI since 😊. Highly recommended to all xx

Kegel exercises and an incontinence pad. After learning that my bladder is failing to empty completely, easy Rx, ultrasound before and after you void your bladder, I took Kegel exercises seriously. I also keep a small stool in my washroom to raise my feet when I know that my bladder is not acting properly. Feet up helps bladder function (sort of like squatting). For women, voiding the bladder after sex helps lower bladder issues and non-glycerine lubricant during sex can lower bladder infection because irritation in the area is reduced. Glycerine based lubricants can increase Ph balance and lead to bladder infections. Hope that helps, and I'm sure it was way more info that you thought you'd get.

I haven't had any infections for quite awhile, especially since I've taken to munching on Craisins (dried cranberries). I'll eat a couple of bites of it at least 2-3 times a week. I also am trying to get back in the habit of drinking water. Between the craisins and water, things have been great!
