Has anyone used Cannabis Oil ? And has it helped with your pain ?
There's so many great products out there now: beverages, tinctures, gum, edibles, oils, butters, etc..... I will acknowledge that when you first start, it's tough to find the right dosage. What really helped was having a 1:1 consultation at my wellness center (dispensary) where someone talked with me about my MS symptoms and made suggestions of things to try - and where to start with dosage.
If you are somewhere where it's still illegal, I seriously believe that with all the recent positive stories out there that will change soon! Of all the things I take, I consider my CBD and essential oils to be the best medicines for my MS symptoms.
I started using medicinal cannabis about 6 years ago for stress and a torn rotator cuff - it worked really well for that too, but that was before they started making CBD products. SO MUCH more effective now!!! Nice to see huge gains being made in this area. I'd much rather eat a plant than some of the crazy chemicals in our DMTs! Good luck, everyone! Hope you find relief, whatever your preferred method.
Lastly, I have heard rare cases of medicinal cannabis being covered by insurance, although none nearby me yet. I think that will be coming sooner than later - fingers crossed!!! XX
Yep. I'm a huge believer. It's been a game changer for me. I had plateaued as far as recovery goes from optical neuritis - and yet after 2 months being on CBD oil with some (minimal) THC, I increased another 12% which amazed my DR. Also, it's helped SO MUCH with sleep! I sleep solidly and wake up rested. I also don't have painful night muscle cramps like I used to - and I can tell it's helped a lot with overall inflammation and spasticity, not to mention, stress management. I'm able to let things go and keep annoying issues from escalating when I take it regularly. I was also really stressing about perceived cognitive changes. After going through a full neuro-psych eval and finding out that I was average or above in all categories has helped me to forgive myself quickly when it happens and not dwell on it like I used to before I had CBDs help to let it go. As a result, I'm finding that those MS moments happen less frequently because I'm not so worried and hyper focused on them. CBD has been so great for me that now I religiously take it every day.
You can get pure CBD oil legally anywhere. The only stinker is that it's much more effective when paired with some THC. If folks are in a state where you can obtain medicinal marijuana, you can get CBD oil in all sorts of ratios depending on how much THC you want. In the morning I take a high CBD, low THC Kind capsule. It's low enough THC that I don't feel it, but it helps the CBD work to its full potential. At night I take a high CBD and higher THC product (Usually a section of a chocolate bar because my DR said smoking or vaping can disrupt how DMTs work and lessen their impact on slowing MS progression). I don't mind the THC - I started with a very small amount and gradually worked my way up to about 25mg each night which I find is plenty. Most of the edibles come in really high dosages - like I'd have to cut one small cookie into 10 pieces! So I like the Bhang chocolate bars, Kiva chocolate covered espresso beans, and gummy coke bottles. Most of them come in 5-10mg increments so it's easier to get the right dosage.
Its the only thing that touches my neuropathy
I am so gracious that you all told me about your impact with the product. I did some research and saw that I can purchase it online. When I receive it I will let you know the results. Thanks ๐
