Hello everyone. My first visit with my MS nurse is Friday. I am not sure what to expect. Will she give me medication to help or will i have to wait for another visit? Will they do another MRI? I am a little nervous any advice?

@A MyMSTeam Member don't be sorry, I'm sorry u have to go thru this. I know EXACTLY how your feeling right now. She's probably going to go over options with you on treatments. No, they're not all injections, and if that's what you go with then yes, they'll have someone train u. Trust me, i hate needles and thought i was going to pass out, I pushed the button and felt so silly cuz I didnt even feel the needle... could of got a Grammy on that one....ur doc and you will decide which is best for you.... take some deep breaths, maybe a glass of wine, write down all your questions u can think of so when u leave you'll feel alittle more at ease... more will come up. Good luck and God bless

I received my medicine from a specialty pharmacy first (Copaxone) and they then sent the ms nurse to train me how to inject and answer questions I might have. Never saw her again after that. That's the only nurse other than my Neuro nurse I've dealt with

Thank you. I am seeing the my Neuro nurse practitioner tomorrow. So will she be the one to decide on my treatments as far the meds? Also do they always send a nurse to train you on how to do injections? Is that the only way to take the meds is by injection? I'm sorry for all the questions just really nervous I hate needles.
