Anyone Else Trying To Heal With A Plant Based Diet?
Ive recently gone vegetarian and soon to be vegan. Ive been feeling a lot better but im not sure im convinced its going to fix my ms as other people have claimed. Does anyone have any experience with this?
I think diet is important to health (food is healthcare, drugs are sick care). Although vegetarian alone is probably not enough to go on for information. I know plenty of vegetarians who have really unhealthy eating habits. I eat a largely plant based diet with organic veggies from the farmer. I am very careful to make sure I get enough balance to my diet and I take supplements. I try to keep inflammatory foods to a minimum (sugar, bread, etc.). OMS is one option. You may also want to look at the KETO diet - it's not vegetarian but it is one of the diets recommended for MS. Good luck!
I've been vegetarian for 23 years and was diagnosed with ms a year and a half ago. Not sure if it helps since I don't have a comparison of eating meat, but feel like it can only help. My neurologist was pleased to learn it was already part of my lifestyle.
I started the plant based diet about a month ago. It’s too soon to expect to feel benefits but I’m excited about the possibility of feeling better. I’m keen to hear how you fare too.
