I’m finding it harder and harder to remember the name of people or to remember the word for something or how I would like to explain it. I feel my sentences are starting to go along the lines of, “Remember that woman from that thing when we did...that stuff on Saturday. Oh Jane remember Jane. I was thinking of calling her because she’s so....shes’s good at...she’s has a job being an....”
You get the idea. Do you have this problem? When did it start? Does anything help?

I have definitely noticed this - and that it's much worse when I'm stressed. What really helped me was getting a full neuro-psych analysis at Stanford. That baseline info will be helpful to compare with over time. And I scored average or above average in all categories even though I felt I wasn't doing that well on the tests. Knowing I did ok has helped me laugh it off and be kinder to myself when it happens - and as a result, I find it happens much less. Since I'm going through a stressful long-distance move right now I've noticed it happening more again - but since I know it's because of the stress and I'll be done with the move in the next week, I feel confident it will get better then. Hang in there!!! XX

It's not the medical condition that Statins are RX'd to treat but rather the side effects that one needs to be concerned about. For example the FDA warns on statin labels that some people have developed memory loss or confusion while taking statins. Therefore if you has MS and are taking a statin for cholestral the memory loss or confusion one might experience may not actually be a brought about by the MS but rather the statin.

Yes! But others around me have that short-term memory problem a lot more than I do, and they don't have MS! Inattentuon, maybe, but not MS. I do worry about dimentia in loved ones my age, though. For me, remembering what happened in that movie I saw last month and tge name of the actors in it is more of a problem than remembering things for a few minutes or hours.

@Gavie's question about statins is a good one. Also have you discusseed this with your doctor ? Have you ever had a congintive assessment ? If not perhaps that might be something to discuss with your doctor.
I started to have these problems a couple of years ago. They've Gotten worse. I say some crazy stuff! I teach. Today's "good one"..... " Make sure you write in complete sandwiches(sentences)". "what "crash" do you have next hour? (Class) I now say them so often my students let me know. I write them down!
